Ngārongo marae (also known as Ketemarae) is located north of Normanby, and east of the Waingongoro River. Its principal hapū is Araukūku of the iwi Ngāti Ruanui.
The whare on site are named Kumea Mai te Waka and Te Manawanui. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Aotea and the maunga Taranaki.
