Rāhui marae is 55 km north of Tokomaru Bay. Its primary hapu are Te Whānau a Hinerupe ki Waiapu and Te Whānau a Rākaimataura of Ngāti Porou.
The wharenui is called Rongomaianiwaniwa, the wharekai is Tawhiwhirangi. The marae connects ancestrally to the Horouta waka, the awa Waiapu and the maunga Pukemaire.
