Te Poho o Rāwheoro marae is located on Tauwhareparae Road, Tolaga Bay, towards the mouth of the Uawa River. Its principal hapū are Ngāti Patuwhare of Te Aitanga a Hauiti and Ngāti Porou iwi.
The wharenui is called Te Whare Wananga o Te Rawheoro. The marae connects ancestrally to the four waka Horouta, the maunga Titirangi, and the awa Uawanui a Ruamatua.
