Tārewa Pounamu marae (also frequently referred to as Taharangi) is located close to Kuirau, in Rotorua. The iwi is Ngāti Kea Ngāti Tuarā.
The whare tupuna is called Taharangi and the wharekai is Te Tiukahapa. The marae connects ancestrally to Te Arawa waka.
