Aotearoa Pa

Aotearoa marae is located 32 km south of Te Awamutu, in Wharepapa South. The primary hapū that associate with the marae include Ngāti Huia, Ngāti Korokī and Ngāti Takihiku of Ngāti Raukawa.

The whare tipuna are called Hoturoa and Rangikawa and the wharekai is Maungarongo. The marae connects ancestrally to the Tainui waka and the maunga Maungatautari.
