Aotearoa

Aotearoa marae is located in Ōkaiawa, near the Waingongoro River. Its principal hapū is Ōkahu-Inuāwai of the iwi Ngāruahine. 

The whare are named Aotearoa and Ngākaunui. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Aotea, the maunga Taranaki and the awa Waingongoro.
