Arahura marae is located just north of Hokitika. The primary hapū is Ngāti Waewae.
The marae's wharenui, Tūhuru, opened on 21 November 2014 after four years of construction. The marae includes the Arahura Whare Wānanga (learning institution).
Arahura marae connects ancestrally to the waka Uruao, the awa Arahura and the maunga Aoraki.
