Kahotea

Kahotea marae is located 6 km north of Ōtorohanga, in the Waikato region. Its principal hapū are Ngāti Apakura, Ngāti Hinetū, Matakore and Ngāti Pare te Kawa. 

The wharenui is Whatihua and the wharekai is Puna o Te Aroha. Kahotea connects ancestrally to the Tainui waka and the tribal collective of Ngāti Maniapoto.
