Tutua marae, also known as Paerauta, is located in Te Araroa, on Waione Road. Its principal hapū are Te Whanau a Te Aopare and Ngai Tamakoro of Ngāti Porou iwi.
The wharenui is called Te Poho o Tamakoro, the wharekai is Tamateaupoko. The marae connects ancestrally to Horouta waka, the maunga Pukeamaru and the awa Karakatuwhero.
