Winiata marae, also sometimes known as Mangaone, is located 2 km south of Taihape on State Highway 1. Its principal hapū are Ngāti Hinemanu and Ngāti Paki.
The wharenui is called Tautahi and the wharekai is Hinemanu. The marae connects ancestrally to the waka Takitimu, the maunga Aorangi and the awa Rangitīkei.
